We love plants, especially ones that you don’t have to baby along, that come back year after year, and are good to eat! At Fig Hill Farm we are propagating our favorites to share with other folks so that everyone can have beautiful, delicious plants growing in their yards. Our nursery specializes in what we like to call perennial edimentals, that is, plants that come back year after year, are beautiful to look at, and are edible.
We have a lot of fruit trees—apples, pears, plums, cherries, and jujubes, to name a few, but we have a fabulous local nursery that does fruit trees. Mike Hughes’ 39th Parallel Nursery is the place I recommend for ordering apple and pear trees. But while you are waiting the years it takes for those fruit trees to start producing, there are many fruits that you can plant now and start harvesting your own fruit within a year.
We are also interested in perennial vegetables.
